G is for Grandkids and Gingerbread

For my G memory I am actually telling about a memory that I miss out on except through pictures.  Every Christmas my daughter-in-law and my 2 grandkids always make a gingerbread house.  Unfortunately, I live 4 1/2 hours away so I'm never there when the fun happens.  It's not all bad though because they always send me pictures.  Thank heavens for cameras!

When the kids come home at Christmas the grandkids and I always have our special baking time to do cookies or something special.  It is my favorite time of year.        But for now I'm going to share with you some of the pictures they have sent of the grandkids and gingerbread houses.

Until next time...that's my memory view.

  1. Kat, they are adorable. You should look into SKYPE, then you can be there via the computer screen. Great pictures!

    1. Thank you Daphne. the Skype is a great idea. Those are old pictures so they are a few years older now but I still think they are adorable; but then I am very partial. :D

  4. These pictures are wonderful!!

I will absolutely drive myself into the ground to do things like these for our boys because I believe that they are deposits into their lives, who they are and who they become. Each memory, woven together becomes their life story, as I'm sure you know. Good job, daughter-in-law!

Your grandchildren will remember doing this! Thanks for sharing!

  5. I LOVE gingerbread! Especially with American Butter Cream Icing! Yum! And I think it's awesome that they did a manger scene with their gingerbread house!
