Hi, I'm Kat. My husband and I live on a small dairy farm. We have one son, a daughter-in-law, 2 grandkids and a cat named Felix. Felix is really the boss around the house, but I try not to let him know that; the power goes to his head.
Writing has always been a dream in the back of my mind, and this blog is my way of making it a reality. I had to retire early from public work due to several health issues. I live with chronic pain but refuse to let that control my life. I prefer to dwell on the good things in life and I manage to have a good time.
Living and raising our son on the farm has been a great life and I wouldn't trade it for all the careers in the world. Me, learning to be a farm wife, is a story in itself. Over the years, I held jobs such as teachers aide, secretary, bookkeeper and registration clerk. My favorite job will always be cake decorating and teaching cake decorating classes. That was a fun time in my life. Also, at the top of the list would be the 6 years that 2 of my sisters and I owned and ran a gift shop, called Three Sisters. That was a special time.
