In just a few weeks it will be Mother's Day. I am not looking forward to it. This will be my family's first one since Mom was killed in a car wreck last July. So, in honor of Mom, I would like to share with you a poem I wrote for her several years ago. Mom...this is for you.
A Mother's Love
A mother's love is like no other;
A power you can't explain.
No matter what the sacrifice
She never will complain.
Her love is everlasting.
You never have to fear.
She'll share your joy, and feel your pain;
She always will be near.
She'll pick you up when 'ere you fall,
She'll kiss the pain away.
She'll always lend a listening ear,
And know just what to say.
Her tender touch can soothe your soul;
Her smile can warm your heart.
She shares life's special moments,
Even when you're far apart.
There's few things in this world today
On which you can depend.
But Mother's love is certain,
It's a bond that knows no end.
